Peace and Tranquility at Koh Samui

I.M seeking peace.

Koh Samui is the third largest island in Thailand and is known as the island with thousands of coconut trees. When you travel around this island, you’ll actually see the truth in this fact. Having been to most islands in Thailand for a holiday, we decided to visit Koh Samui recently to see what it has to offer and also because we were looking for a quiet and less commercialised destination for a time out.

The total area of the island is about 247km and will take you about an hour on motorbike to complete without stopping of course. When we arrived at the airport, we were shuttled to the main terminal in an open-air island sort buggy train.  Even the washroom had an open concept where we could see the blue skies all around us minus feeling the heat because it was air-conditioned and extremely clean.  The only gripe we had upon arrival was the very slow moving line at the immigration counter. It took us almost an hour just to leave the line.
